Coco the movie: A pre-blog

Ok so I'm here in Linden Suites after my catchup class in CDM...I'm waiting for my hubby and kids to fetch me from here and we're off to watch Coco. Funny how my middle child Joanna has pestered my husband to finally agree to watch the movie. For a family of 5, cinema viewing is a luxury! But I do hope we can watch it today despite the fact that it's already 7pm and they're still half way here. It really amazes me how I can't recall Joanna asking me about it. Probably because she knows daddy will take care of it. Talking about amazed, I equally amazed on how the traffic is still so bad despite the weekends. Christmas rush may have started, I'm not sure. I wonder how long it'll tale till thay arrive. Anyhows, I'll try to check in later after the movie for the unsolicited review of the movie Coco. See you in a while!
This is my Joanna! She's 7 now!

Cebu Adventure with Hubby

I had wanted to post this since forever but did not have the time or just did not remember to have the time.  I wanted to just share about this very organized albeit sablay itinerary of mine.  Well what the heck! I consider myself an expert travel planner. Having planned countless office and family local and international trips, I even thought of putting up my own travel agency just to remind me of how good I am in travel planning.  But there are of course trips that will always run into some setbacks and even unforeseen delays and even stops that may altogether throw your plans out the window. This Cebu trip with my dear hubby was probably one of those. But if you ask my husband, this was probably on his toplist of our most unforgettable trips ever. I usually plan out by hour but since there are items in the IT that's not very familiar to me (sardine run etc), I thought to leave out the time and just run with whatever the day brings.   So here how it all ...

How knowing SEO changed my career path

It's been more than a year since I took the SEO specialization course from Coursera given by UC Davis Extension program. And boy is it a great pivoting experience so far.  As one who have been in the practice of market research for more than 20 years, venturing into a totally new field is not only nerve-wracking but also defining.  It changed my career path unexpectedly even at age 40.   It was also last year that I have concurrently been assigned as Head of SEO/SEM for the entire conglomerate.  And because of that, I have been able to practice SEO not only with one website but with 12.  One year later, I've seen these websites grow impressions by 1k% and traffic by 500% because of organic and local SEO.  It actually surprised me how powerful SEO really is in achieving traffic goals which will help you eventually grow leads. We now have a steadily increasing number of leads across the 12 brands.  But recently I have been trying to assess if I were...

Best coffee choices

My husband and I have just concluded our coffee adventure. For the past 3 years, we’ve visited every coffee nook in the Metro. Our ultimate goal – to name or at least nominate the best hot and cold coffee in Metro Manila. As we hopped on from one coffee joint to another, spending more than we should for a cup of coffee or in our case 2 cups of coffee. We tried to give each nominee equal chances and enough room for a good fight. We went to at each shop at least three times and we went to as many branches as we can. Whether it came from a well-known brand or a convenience store, we’ve surveyed and sipped into each and every coffee cup. After 3 years the last visit turned out to be a good nominee as well. Well, here it is, our rundown of our top coffee choices: Hot: 1.) Blenz Belgian chocolate Cafe latte 2.) 7-11 Caramel Macchiato 3.) Starbucks Mocha cafe latte 4.) Figaro Capuccino 5.) Mocha Blends Choco Cafe Latte Cold: 1.) Java Man Choco Javaccino 2.) Blenz Belgian Choco Fros...
